I’m Manpreet a data analyst by day, which means my job is making sense of numbers and patterns. Sphinxpoesy is where I make sense of everything numbers can’t explain: grief, suppressed emotions, the quiet weight of privilege, and the strange comfort of a good book at the right moment.
I started this blog because I kept having thoughts I couldn’t say out loud in normal conversation — about why we hide what we feel, why healing doesn’t look like the movies, why some people carry more than others and call it normal. Writing them down was the only way to actually look at them.

Here’s what you’ll find on Sphinxpoesy:
- Essays — personal, reflective pieces on emotions, grief, healing, and the parts of being human that don’t fit neatly into advice columns.
- Book Guides — reading recommendations built around mood and life stage, not just bestseller lists.
- Interviews — conversations with writers and authors about their craft and their inner lives.
I publish new pieces once a week (or that’s what I keep telling myself). If something here resonates, or you disagree entirely, I’d genuinely like to hear about it.
